Not accepting military ID's is not discriminating, it is smart. If you know anything about the buisness, you would know that military ID's are usually your first choice among underage drinkers for a fake ID. Although it has been a long time since I have been in the Crystal area, I am quite certain that the Pub would take the ID as long as the person had additional back-up to prove that they are who they say they are.- Is follow up to post by sheryldeer ...
This is the only restaurant I have ever been to in my life that was so bad I actually walked out. I had asked to speak with the manager to make him aware of the problems I experienced and he raised his voice at me and created a scene. My beau and I will never patronize them again. We let our friends in the military and legal communities know about our horrible experience. In addition to the bad food, dirty tables, and lousy service, they also now refuse to accept military ID as proof of age, though they will accept any state ID. (That's right. . . they'll take state ID, but not a military ID issued by the federal government. Go figure.) I know of no other place in Arlington that discriminates against military like that. Anyway, my submariner sweetie and I will find better places to dine and play billiards. -- 1/11/2002 9:24:07 PM
